So my last post ended with my best friends mother losing her battle to cancer. She fought a great battle and it's sad to see her leave us but at the same time happy that she is now at peace and isnt in pain anymore. Downside is leaving her kids behind. My friend has taken custody of her younger brother and sister and she is doing an extremely fantastic job, I admire everything she is doing for her whole family, with another little one of the way.
So I flew back for that weekend to help my friend out and to attend the funeral which was held on the Saturday, what a beautiful service. So many kind words were spoken about the life that Marie lived and those who she has left behind. My friend chose a white coffin for her mother so all the kids could write a very special personal message on it for Marie, while sitting there waiting for the service to begin Emily went up to draw her nanny a picture. It was so cute she had drawn nannys house with her and mummy in the picture, kind brought tears to your eyes as Emily isnt aware that she will never see her nanny again. At the end of the service all the siblings, kids and grandkids let off a bright coloured balloon each and will continue to do this on her anniversary every year, which I think is a fab idea.
The rest of my time there I tried to spend as much time with Bernadette as I could as that was the main reason I went home. But I did manage to slip in some time for my gorgeous friend Tracey and her partner Mat. Kurt and I met this gorgous couple through Kurt's work which I'm so greatful for as she is a fantastic friend who has given me advice and is just so positive.
